Founding Chair

Naz Schinder has a wealth of experience in the law field and is widely known as a trustworthy and reliable corporate consultant to foreign companies and organisations planning to invest in the Indonesian market. She has had great success advising on complex legal matters in dispute resolution and corporate law matters. She is an inspirational leader and an influential logical thinker.

Naz is currently the Founding Chair & CEO of Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Center (BIAMC), Co-Founder & President of the Association for Data Protection Officers (APPDI), and Founder of Schinder Law Firm.

Over the past decade, she has championed a legal team as the Founder of Schinder Law Firm, specialising in a broad scope of projects within the Indonesian infrastructure and energy fields, some of which include electric power plants, freeway, bridge projects, and chemical plants. The legal services she provides include advising on the optimal legal structure of projects, carrying out due diligence, taking part in negotiations, offering legal analysis and legal opinions, and assisting in transactions.

Yet, her expertise is not confined to traditional domestic developments. In fact, Naz has assisted numerous foreign investment companies, institutions, and organisations in successfully investing in and entering the Indonesian market. She has become a trustworthy corporate consultant for companies and organisations from their initial establishment until the present.

Constantly seeking out new ways to challenge herself, Naz has expanded her already impressive breadth of expertise by founding Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Center (BIAMC), Indonesia’s only international arbitration and mediation center. She carries a progressive, entrepreneurial spirit that animates her one-of-a-kind Indonesian non-profit association. She is committed to remaining forward-thinking while maintaining a unique culture founded on teamwork, a healthy work environment, and a strong work ethic.

Amid the pandemic in 2020, Naz has been paying more attention to digital development, privacy, and data protection as the pace of digital transformation accelerated. Therefore, with Indonesian and foreign experts, Naz established Indonesia’s first official non-profit Association for Data Protection Officers (APPDI). It provides certification courses and training on data privacy and cyberlaw for data protection officers and grants qualifications to create new employment opportunities.
