Thursday, March 6, 2025 – BIAMC, a leading force in advancing arbitration and alternative dispute resolution in Indonesia, proudly partnered with one of Indonesia’s most distinguished legal figures, Prof. Dr. OC Kaligis, to deliver a highly anticipated hybrid course. The in-person attendance reached full capacity, reflecting the growing momentum and appetite for deeper insights into arbitration practices across the country.

Under the theme “Challenges & Solutions in Resolving Disputes through Arbitration in Indonesia: Toward Swift & Effective Justice,” the course provided a masterclass in navigating the complexities of Indonesia’s arbitration framework. Participants, ranging from seasoned legal professionals to business leaders and academics, engaged in thought-provoking discussions designed to shape the future of dispute resolution in Indonesia.

The course featured comparative studies between Indonesia’s domestic arbitration system and the country’s District Court process, enriched with practical case studies drawn from real-world disputes. Participants also gained international perspectives through a comparative review of arbitration institutions in Indonesia, the Netherlands (NAI), and Singapore (SIAC), delving into their structural and procedural distinctions to uncover best practices that enhance efficiency and enforceability.

Guided by Prof. Dr. OC Kaligis, attendees examined pragmatic solutions to elevate the effectiveness and credibility of arbitration within Indonesia’s legal ecosystem. The program emphasized strategies to harmonize domestic practices with international standards, equipping participants with the tools to advance arbitration outcomes in their respective fields.
