This engaging event, streamed live on Zoom and BIAMC’s YouTube channel, brought together some of the brightest minds from both the academic and industry sectors, creating an inspiring platform for in-depth discussions on how these powerful tools can shape a more sustainable future.

The talkshow, hosted by the Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Center (BIAMC) and Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), featured two distinguished speakers: Prof. Dr. IBR Supancana, Chief of the Advisory Board of BIAMC, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fajar Sugianto, S.H., M.H., Head of the Law Study Program at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), renowned for his deep expertise in mediation. Under the skilled moderation of Annabella Marcella K from the Faculty of Law, University of Pelita Harapan (UPH), and the BIAMC-UPH Student Ambassador , the conversation delved into the intersection of dispute resolution and sustainable development, highlighting how these mechanisms can facilitate progress in various sectors, ranging from international trade to environmental protection. Through thoughtful discussions, the speakers explored how arbitration and mediation provide more effective and resource-efficient alternatives to traditional litigation, helping to reduce delays, costs, and conflicts that could hinder development efforts.

As we continue to explore how education, industry, and sustainability intersect, BIAMC remains committed to fostering discussions that build bridges between these sectors. Stay tuned for more thought-provoking events as we advance the conversation—one step at a time—towards a more sustainable future.
